Pass your class exam the first time with a 70% or better. Students needing to retake the exam are required by the state to wait 30 extra days to retest.

FREC approves applications the third week of the month so if your application is in by the first week, watch your email for permission to take your state exam.
Pearson VUE oversees the state exam process and offers the course in a variety of formats and locations.
Watch your email for a notification from Pearson VUE with the subject line "Authorization to Test" letting you know that you are eligible to take the test. This email includes your nine-digit Candidate ID number, which you need in order to sign up for the
exam with Pearson VUE. To schedule go to PearsonVUE.com or call. You must pass the exam with at least 75 out of 100 points.
The cost is $36.75 per exam once FREC approves your application.
Testing Information
When preparing to test, here are some study aids for exams including math videos which can be found by Googling Ron Climer math and Karen Climer also has a helpful YouTube channel.
Also, a few minutes before you sit down to take your exams take a brisk walk for a few minutes if possible. Research shows it can increase recall up to 85%. If you cannot take a walk, doing a few jumping jacks or taking deep breaths is also helpful.
Recent research shows that drinking peppermint tea or inhaling peppermint essential oils before testing is also helpful for recall.
